Clean Energy Action Conference: Powering Change Together

April 14 @ 8:00 am - 2:00 pm

As skyrocketing fuel costs – driven by the ongoing conflict with Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz – put unprecedented pressure on the regional economy, prominent energy executives and policymakers will gather on April 14 for the Clean Energy Action Conference.

Hosted by the Business Council of Westchester and the Clean Energy Action Coalition, the conference will focus on immediate, practical solutions for New York businesses to mitigate energy volatility. A primary focus will be the transition to biofuels for heavy-duty trucking, a move that offers significant cost savings for transportation companies currently reeling from record-high diesel prices.

Key Topics:

  • The Biofuel Alternative: With global oil supplies disrupted, Sprague Energy and other leaders will detail how trucking companies can pivot to biofuels to lower carbon footprints while insulating themselves from global fuel price shocks.
  • Infrastructure & Storage: Panels featuring Collado Engineering and ESRG will address the rapid deployment of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to stabilize the local grid.
  • Legislative Roadmap: Senator Harckham and NYPA’s Justin Driscoll will discuss state-level initiatives to accelerate energy independence in the wake of international instability.
  • Live Demonstration: Following the panels, officials including Croton-on-Hudson Mayor Brian Pugh will lead a tour of the Croton Train Station’s 4.2 MW solar canopy and 3.5 MW battery storage facility.

Date: Tuesday, April 14, 2026 | 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Off-site tours follow)
