The Electric Vehicle Association is proud to announce that the 2024 EV Champion of the Year award will be presented to Steven St Peter Jr. of the Electrify Bucksport, Maine organization at our annual meeting in Schenectady, New York on Saturday May 3rd, 2025. This award recognizes individuals who go above and beyond to promote the electrification of transportation, and Steven’s dedication to building an EV-friendly future in Bucksport, Maine makes him a standout recipient.

Through his tireless efforts, Steven has helped position Bucksport as a premier EV destination, ensuring residents and visitors alike have access to the resources they need to make the switch to electric. He provides free assistance to those looking for an EV, offering guidance on dealerships and available models to help individuals find the perfect fit.

Education is at the heart of Steven’s work. He actively informs the community about the benefits of electric vehicles, including their potential use as backup power sources during outages. He also promotes sustainable transportation by encouraging walking and biking as part of a cleaner, greener future.

Steven’s commitment to public charging infrastructure is another way he’s making an impact. He regularly inspects public chargers to ensure they are working properly and encourages fellow EV drivers to contribute by taking photos and updating PlugShare when they charge. His attention to detail helps keep crucial charging information accurate and accessible for everyone.

In addition, Steven keeps the EV community informed with daily updates in his Facebook group, sharing breaking news, reviews, and key developments in the world of electric vehicles. His passion and consistency make him a valuable resource for both new and experienced EV drivers.

Please join us in celebrating Steven St Peter Jr. as the 2024 EV Champion of the Year! His enthusiasm, leadership, and hands-on approach to advocacy embody the mission of the Electric Vehicle Association, and we are thrilled to honor his contributions to the EV movement.
