The Global Climate Strike – A Week of Action in Vermont and New Hampshire
September 20 – September 28
The week of taking action to stop the world wide climate crisis will begin on September 20th as Vermont students and their adult supporters join the Global Climate Strike. The week will end on September 28th as dozens of grass roots groups and hundreds of people from across New England gather in Bow, NH to shut down the Merrimack Generating Station –the last coal-fired power plant in New England.
Join Us in Bow, NH on September 28th – To Shut Down New England’s Last Coal-Fired Power Plant
Since officials won’t shut this plant down, we’ll act to shut it down ourselves. If you’re thinking of coming to Bow on September 28th: Go here to learn more about the plant in Bow and sign the Pledge of Resistance:

We’re working to connect people to carpools traveling from the Upper Valley to Bow on the 28th. We’ll also be arranging a phone-in and in-person meeting to plan how we can support each other on the 28th as Upper Valley neighbors, including possibly forming affinity groups for the action in Bow. If you’ll be going to Bow from the Upper Valley and are interested in carpooling and the planning meeting contact Laura at simonlaura@gmail.com.
