GASWORK, The Fight for C.J.’s Law

Green Energy Times Posted on October 1, 2015 by George HarveyOctober 1, 2015

From Josh Fox, Director of “Gasland,”
comes GASWORK, The Fight for C.J.’s Law

Josh will be on MSNBC’s All In with Chris Hayes on October 2.

We are excited to share our new short film with you today. GASWORK, The Fight for C.J.’s Law investigates deadly working conditions in the oil and gas fields.

It has has rare interviews with oil and gas workers who have come forward to confirm what we’ve known for a long time – that the fracking industry is poisoning local communities and its own workers.

Hear from the workers – Watch GASWORK at www.GASWORKfilm.com

For too long the industry has hidden behind a public relations front that claims fracking is clean and safe. The science says it’s not. And now we have workers and their families coming forward to shatter the ‘safe’ fracking myth.

We know this film can be a powerful tool to educate communities and politicians about the true nature of fracking. But that will only happen if you get involved.

Here’s what we need you to do today:

1. Watch and share the film at www.gasworkfilm.com

2. Tune in to All In with Chris Hayes October 2 at 8pm. Josh will be on to share a clip of the film and talk about worker safety.

3.Tweet to your government officials who support fracking and ask them to watch GASWORK and support CJ’s Law. (or call/email them!)

4. Take action at our website to support worker safety laws and ban fracking.

Here are a few sample tweets. Unfortunately there are a lot of politicians who still support fracking so please adapt these to your area.

.@GovernorTomWolf ‘good’ jobs don’t poison communities and kill workers. #BanFracking #GoRenewable #SupportCJsLaw www.gasworkfilm.com

Thank you for standing with us for worker safety and safer energy for our communities.
