Building our Renewable Energy Future: Clean, Local, Secure

Although one might hope that summer would have allowed a “breather” for the renewable industry, the renewable market place remains highly variable, with many areas of policy and regulation currently in flux.  This is not particularly surprising, given the overall transition that the energy world is seeing – with last week’s announcement of the pending closure of Vermont Yankee a prime case-in-point.

As you know, REV advocates strongly to advance Vermont’s path towards a clean energy future. We frequently highlight the number of renewable businesses in Vermont – but we need more detailed data to accurately portray the vibrancy and strength of the renewable industry.

PLEASE take 3 minutes to fill out this 5-question renewable energy job survey to the best of your knowledge- this will greatly facilitate REV in communicating the economic benefits of renewables. Responses are anonymous. To take the survey, click here.

Renewable Energy 2013 Conference, on October 28 & 29, at the Sheraton in South Burlington, will cover all of these transition issues – and more. We look forward to seeing you there – full conference information and registration/exhibitor/sponsorship information is available here.

REV continues to advocate on your behalf on a number of fronts – read below for more.

PLEASE NOTE: There are several deadlines coming up for you to comment and weigh in – ultimately, to grow your business opportunities by securing a clean energy future.  These include:

  • 9/4, 9/27, 10/8, Vermont Standard Offer: Comments due regarding Technology Allocation to the Public Service Board
  • 9/4, Home Energy Scoring Comments due September 4th COB
  • 9/5, Net-Metering Public Hearing September 5th 9:30 am
